Classes & Workshops
** The minimum age for enrollment is 16 and strictly enforced, unless otherwise noted.
Clay Level 1
This 8-week course is designed to give students an introduction to ceramics. Hand-building, wheel throwing, and glazing techniques will be covered, in addition to how to safely operate within a ceramics studio.
Students are encouraged to repeat this class until they feel confident with foundational skills.
This course includes:
- 1 25lb bag of clay (instructor's choice)
- Studio access for practicing outside of class time (excluding during other classes or events), 7 days/week, 8am - 8pm
- Use of EAPS tools. All of the tools necessary for everything in this class are available for community use in the studio. It isn't necessary to bring or purchase your own, unless you want to.
For this course, there is a maximum of 6 students, and is offered both daytime and evening.
Clay Level 2
This course continues of the foundations built on Clay Lv 1. The focus will be on continuing skill development, in a more student-driven environment. No two sessions of this course are alike, as the instructor will consider the specific needs and wants of the students to form the course plan.
Skills required for enrollment:
- Students must be able to consistently center, open, pull and trim their own work.
- Familiarity with hand-building, working with coils, slabs, pinch pots, and attachment techniques.
This course includes:
- 1 25 lb bag of clay (instructor's choice)
- Studio access for practicing outside of class time (excluding during other classes or events), 7 days/week, 8am - 8pm
- Use of EAPS tools. All of the tools necessary for everything in this class are available for community use in the studio. It isn't necessary to bring or purchase your own, unless you want to.
- Limited use of EAPS materials such as mason stains or underglazes, where it pertains to the lessons being given or projects being worked on.
For this course, there is a maximum of 6 students. It runs concurrently to the Level 1 classes, but registrations are not open to the public due to the skill requirement. If you are interested, but have not taken Clay Lv 1, please contact us for more information.
Technique Refinement Series
This is a set of shorter, more focused classes designed for targeted skill development. Each session ranges from 1-3 classes. Depending on the session, specific technical skills may be required prior to registration. Please contact us if interested.
Hand-Building Classes
Sessions specifically for hand-building techniques range from 1-3 classes and have a specific project theme. All materials and tools required will be provided. These classes can be a relaxing, rewarding way to spend a weekend afternoon! The age minimum for hand-building classes is 13+ but all minors must still be accompanied by an adult.
Private Events
Private events can be booked for parties with a minimum of 4 people and scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance. Prices start at $50/person. Please contact us for more information.
